Dictionaries are most commonly found in the form of a book, but some newer dictionaries, like StarDict and the New Oxford American Dictionary are dictionary software running on PDAs or computers. There are also many online dictionaries accessible via the Internet.

Kamus Indonesia English Pocket Dictionary PD

saya heran banget kenapa banyak yang bilang kalau pocket dictionary yang saya referensikan tidak full (butuh key). Banyak juga yang protes sembari mengumpat umpat dan melontarkan kata kotor tanpa sensor yang sama sekali tak enak dibaca.padahal setahu saya aplikasi tersebut gratis dan tidak membutuhkan key apapun (sudah saya test di motorola e680i). Ataukah memang, aplikasi tersebut meminta key jika penggunanya berbasis symbian atau dengan kata lain, kamus ini tidak bisa bekerja secara sempurna di handphone berbasis symbian?

oya, saya juga ada satu aplikasi java bagus. Aplikasi ini singkat kata dalam review nya menyebut dirinya sebagai kamus indonesia english tapi setelah saya lihat ukuran file nya kok kecil sangat (hanya 45 Kb) padahal aplikasi kamus sejenis (di atas) memakan space hingga 1,5 Mb.

Selidik punya selidik, aplikasi ini hanya memberikan gambaran singkat tentang istilah yang umum dipakai dalam indonesia dan terjemahannya dalam bahasa inggris, habit (kebiasaan) orang indonesia, culture (budaya) dan lain sebagainya.

Yah semacam itulah, sehingga saya lebih prefer kalau aplikasi ini disebut buku saku english-indonesia saja.
