Frodo is a Commodore 64 home computer emulator. It was ported from Christian Bauer's original Frodo for Amiga. Porting for Epoc was done by Jal Panvel and Alfred E. Heggestad. Porting to Nokia 9210 and S60 was done by Hannu Viitala. Frodo was released for 9210 on July, 2001. That was the first C64 emulator for any mobile phone.
The Bilbo library provides more features to Frodo, like audio engine (for sound effects and music), sensor (accelerometer) controls, vibration feedback, on-screen C64 keyboard and optimized screen drawing. Prepare
*You need Martik SIS Signer
*You need Signsis.exe
SignSIS that allows you to directly sign symbian 3rd edition software, applications and games on your mobile device without transferring the files to your computer.*You need Cer* and Key* (you can get them in online certificate)
How To Use
installed on your S60 device, make sure to extract and transfer the required .KEY, .CER and .CSR files to the same directory on your mobile phone. You will also need to make sure that the .KEY, .CER and .CSR files have the same name. After the pre-requisites have been met, launch Mobile SignSIS, choose the SIS file that you want to sign, select the path to the .KEY and .CER files and save the paths. Then go to the path where the .sis file is stored and hit the ?Sign? option. The resultant signed SISX file should be created in the same folder, ready to be installed.
*Symbian's Application/Games that you want signed (must same folder with Signsis.exe
How to use :

Nokia N8 Hack- Modded installserver
Hi everybody, it's out a modded installserver.exe for Nokia N8. I can't test 'cos i haven't got a N8, but it seems to work.
You need to insert it inside your fw, using Nokia Cooker beta 0.5 . Put it in Sys/Bin (i think it's not important if in UDA or in ROFS).
For who doesn't know that, with the modded installserver.exe you can install all the unsigned applications.

This solution does not set active standby to default after phone restart like ROMPatcher patch does!!
1 - turn off active standby
2 - copy from z:\resource AIPluginDefinition.rsc to c:\resoucre
3 - edit c:\resource\AIPluginDefinition.rsc via xplore to disable or enable plugins
3.1 - see below and check plugin uid you like to show or not show
3.2 - open AIPluginDefinition.rsc via xplore (select file and push 8)
3.3 - search uid via hex-search
3.4 - change first occurring uid to some other uid (for example change xxxxxx10 to xxxxxx11 - easy to remember later to change it back - change then xxxxxx11 to xxxxxx10)
3.5 - save file
4 - activate active standby

| Here we go guys, I have modified a UDA image (credits go to Il.Socio for providing the tools and CODeRUS for providing the hacked installserver) to let you all have your N8 hacked right now and be able to install unsigned apps! IF YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO FLASH A NOKIA DEVICE, READ HERE: It is enough to DOWNLOAD THE HACKED UDA, rename it to the name of the UDA image of the firmware of your product code, and flash it using Phoenix!  IF YOU HAVE NEVER FLASHED A NOKIA DEVICE, THEN READ HERE: 1) Download and install Phoenix 2010 cracked (can’t tell you where to download it from, look for it) 2) Download navifirm 0.4, and the HACKED UDA 3) Open Navifirm, and wait for it to load the Products list, then hit N8 (RM596) 4) Select 11.12 and wait for navifirm to load the Variants list 5) Use the search variants box at the bottom to look for the product code of your phone (you can find the product code on the transparent sticker which was on the back of your N8 when you bought it, mine is 0599857******, 0599857 is the product code) then hit MARK ALL, and then DOWNLOAD WITH THE PROGRAM, and choose the directory where you want to download the OFFICIAL firmware files 6) Once you have downloaded the official firmware files, copy those files to “C:/Program Files(x86)/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-596″ which is the directory where Phoenix will look to get the files it needs to flash the firmware to your N8 7) Connect your N8 via USB cable and open PHOENIX 8) Hit File–>Scan Product, and then hit Flashing–>Firmware Update 9) In the firmware update screen, you’ll see that Phoenix have found the firmware files of the official firmware you downloaded from navifirm (if it doesn’t find any firmware, add the directory C:/Program Files(x86)/Nokia/Phoenix in all the three boxes in Tools–>Options–>Product Location, and repeat step 8 ) , now hit REFURBISH 10) Now a warning dialog box will appear, telling you that one file is missing. THIS STEP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. Do not click anything on the warning box, just minimize Phoenix screen, go to the folder where you downloaded the hacked UDA file (decompress the .7z file using peazip or 7zip first), and copy it to C:/Program Files(x86)/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-596 . 11) If it asks you to overwrite say yes, then go back to Phoenix and hit yes on the warning dialog box. If it doesn’t ask you to overwrite the file, rename the OFFICIAL UDA FILE to something else (for example, if the name of the official UDA file is RM-596_011.012_U01.01_79.92_prd.uda.fpsx, rename it to RM-596_011.012_U01.01_79.92_prd_ORIGINAL.uda.fpsx) and rename the HACKED UDA to the former name of the OFFICIAL UDA FILE (the name of the hacked uda is RM-596_011.012_U03.01_79.92_prd.uda.fpsx, in this case you have to rename it to RM-596_011.012_U01.01_79.92_prd.uda.fpsx, which is the name of the UDA you download from navifirm) 12) Now go back to the Phoenix’s warning dialog box, and hit YES, and wait for the flashing process to complete 13) Done Now you can install unsigned apps ENJOY |

Available options are:
- Lock the phone
- Switch on an alarm
- Delete selected data
By choosing the Delete option, you can remotely delete sensitive information from your phone, such as Contacts, SMS, Gallery, Calendar and Secure Storage to protect it from unauthorized usage. If this option is selected and remotely activated, your phone will send you an SMS with a confirmation request to prevent from accidental mistakes.
Note: Don't forget to make regular full backup of your device.
Default Lock Code:
The application asks for a default lock code which is 0000. You are strongly recommended to change it with a new code of your own.

The 100% increase sized photo is an average of 11mb
The original settings gave photos of 1 - 2 mb.
If you click on the thimbnail above you can see it takes a little longer to download the custom picture.
However the size difference does not cause the N8 any problems
Unfortunately the CAF mode has a big bug, it doesn´t focus on objects
that are farer away then 2 m, it´s stuck at some kind of macro mode.
I´m also in contact with nokia and it´s a knowing bug. So we have to wait until
there will be a solution for this problem.
got several problems.
1. When i install mod_1.1.sisx and hard reset device (I signed the mod with Martik SIS Signer) there is no mod.
With hard reset I lost the mod, so I don get the procedure to install the mod and then to make a hard reset.
2. if I dont do hard reset, the mod is on my N8 but not working, no autofocus on video.

Nokia N8 updated software-Bring More Stability to Apps
It appears that the swiping delay is gone WITHOUT having to tamper with settings and remove theme effects like in this post.
2) New browser has got rid of that stupid ugly fat bar at the bottom it
seems! Hurray! I have wanted that ugly fat bar (my affectionate term for it) to die since S60 5th. At least now, slowly but surely it’s disappearing.
- The address bar is now at the top.
- It appears that works like the awesome bar/N900′s address bar where you can type in url or search terms. Check out the “G – Search for”! Brilliant stuff.
- More of the screen is visible!
- You can see the freaking keyboard AND the screen behind whilst typing on a touch screen.
- Browser loads instantly without going to the bookmarks page (I’m assuming it loads a selectable home page – unless the link was already a bookmark, but then the icon )
- Easy copy/paste/cut on the address bar (not sure if this is possible with web text itself)
This update improves the stability of phone applications. Download the new update via your Software Update app on your Nokia N8.

Tutorial: How to delete video file problem N8 ^3
A: I just converted some videos files and trfd to my mobile n8 ...now when i m trying to delete one of these files it is not allowing me to ...saying it's already open...rest of the files can be deleted but there's only a problem with this one file...have tried almost everything reboot my phone ...
tried via computer connecting the usb cable...it either says the file is in use or you do not have the permission to delete this file..really I am out of sorts what can i do?
i don't wanna do format my mass memory because i have installed so many things of applications, so please help!!!!!!!!
B: I don't know if this will work but no harm in giving it a try.
Without connecting to your pc just yet, set your default USB connection to Mass Memory. It's under settings -> connectivity -> USB.
After doing this, turn off your N8.
While turned off, connect it to the PC. The N8 will start to charge, then the pc should detect it as an external device and automatically run the drive. Navigate to the file using your pc's explorer and try to delete the file.
If all is well, then the file would be deleted.
Hope this helps.
