jadi intinya gini, gotext merpakan salah satu aplikasi free sms alias sms gratis melalui gprs dengan aplikasi berbasis java. nah, aplikasi ini memungkinkan kamu untuk berkirim sms secara gratis ke nomer ponsel selular di indonesia. akan tetapi, untuk wilayah indonesia, saat ini gotext hanya bisa mengirim sms ke nomer indosat saja (im3, mentari dan matrix).
Pengiriman sms gratis seharinya dibatasi 5 sms saja.
Sms gratis tersebut diluar biaya gprs yang mungkin dikenakan oleh provider selular kamu.

goText is a free software for mobile phone wich you can use to send SMS, MMS and email for free!!
You pay only a little amount due to the data transferred via GPRS, usually in the order of 1-2 cents, to WORLDWIDE mobile numbers!
The cost is so little because goText uses services from website offering free sms from web, handling the connection in special ways to reduce the data and cost as little as possible.
And if your mobile supports WiFi connection you can send messages 100% free!!
goText should work on all mobiles with Java support, as it is a MIDP 1.0 application.

The application it's currently translated in 5 languages (English, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Indonesian)
The J2ME client and sms scripts are released under GPL v2 license, so if you are an advanced user you can modify everything and also get involved in development!

• goText 2.2 (standard): the standard version, that is smaller in size
  
  
• goText 2.2 (alternative build): Has the same features as goText 2.2 standard, but is a little bigger because it's not obfuscated. Some mobile phones don't like obfuscation so you may have luck if the above one don't work.

To send free SMS you need to add and configure SMS services in goText, and check that everything is properly set up on your mobile.

Short configuration how to:

• Configure your mobile phone connection for Java programs for Internet GPRS (not WAP GPRS!)
• Install goText
• Run it and go to Settings, put your own international Country Code and tweak other settings as you like
• Enter Services menu and add SMS service configurations (you can find their addresses below, we suport both free SMS services and paid SMS services like Vyke or Betamax voip and sms services)
• Fill required login infos for any service you want to use
• Go to Message menu, select a service from the ones you have previously configured
• Write a text, select receipt number(s) from your mobile phonebook, and send
• Welcome to cheap sms messaging..happy goTexting!

goText Configuration Scripts (Services)

This page lists all goText configuration script (the so called services), freely available on our server, ready to be used.
If you don't know what a service is, you'd better read the What is goText?! page and the goText user guide.

How to read this list: Website Name is the name of the website offering the SMS service. If the name is a hyperlink you can read a full description of the service in our forum.
The Send To column tells you which recipients' countries are supported: if you see a world image instead of a flag this means that the service can send messages (almost) worldwide.
You can read the meaning of Status and Type columns in the legend at the bottom of this page.
The last column, URL, is the address you have to write in goText to add the service in the program.

Status legend:

• ok: the service is currently working fine
• broken: the service is known to have problems, or to have stopped working, and will be fixed in the near future
• ko: the sms website does not exist anymore, stopped the sms service, or required us to remove the configuration. Those configurations will not be fixed.
• ko (1): this service is not working on goText server for technical reasons, but it would be working on another webserver. We suggest you to get the sourcecode of this service from the SVN and upload to a server you own

Type legend:

• Free: a service offering free sms messages
• Paid: a commercial service, wich you can use to send sms after buying some credits. Those services usually have really cheap rates, you may want to have a look at their websites!
• Free + Premium: a service offering free sms messages to all users, and premium commercial service with higher quality/reliability/more messages for paying users
